Business Operations Audit

A written diagnosis of what is slowing your business down, how to fix it, and what to fix first.

Starting at $95

You run a business that is getting work done. But it’s taking longer than it should. It also relies on you more than it should. You and your team spend more time on tedious work than on helping your business grow and thrive.

To address this, you’ve added online tools to resolve the issue and improve workflow. However, after only two weeks, you find your team has five tools and has likely stopped using two of them. Therefore, you are still facing the same business operations problem.

I can help by preparing a paid, written business operations audit that examines how work actually flows through your business, who touches what, where it waits, and what gets done twice or not at all. I write all findings and recommendations in the order you should fix them.

You can share your official business operations audit document with your team for review and adoption, hand it to another consultant for implementation support, or bring it back to me if you want to continue working together on additional services. Either option works.

The issues are easy to spot. The cause usually isn’t.

The same work takes a different path depending on who gets it.

Work stalls and nobody notices until a client asks for an update.

You become the holdup for decisions you shouldn’t be involved in.

Your business pays for tools your team doesn’t use.

Onboarding new team members is not structured. They have to shadow you or another team member for days or weeks, ultimately slowing overall productivity.

You cannot take some time off for yourself without something at work going wrong.

Anything can cause any of the above. Not knowing the causes can lead leaders to make the wrong decisions towards fixing them, which costs you the fix and the time you spent on it. If you find yourself in this situation, this audit is for you and your business.

What you will get

Core

$95

A complete and formal Business Operations Audit. You receive an Operations Findings Brief. It identifies 3 to 5 specific bottlenecks in your business workflow. It details the time and/or cost implications of each, their underlying causes, and a prioritized list of remedies. The final document will be 4-6 pages long.

Expanded

$200

Includes everything in Core, plus an assessment of your tools, a diagram of two or three key workflows from intake to closeout, and a 30-day fix plan that labels each item as do-it-yourself, delegate, or hire out.

Complete

$350

Includes everything in Core and Expanded, plus a recommended systems blueprint with a build specification designed for anyone who needs to implement it, and a recorded walkthrough call lasting 45 to 60 minutes.

The build specification is intentionally written to be transferable. Most clients hire me after receiving their audit brief to handle the build. However, you are not required to.

How it works

  1. Intake. Includes a questionnaire and an optional 20-minute call. The purpose is for me to understand your business, who handles which responsibilities, the tools you use, and your main pain points.
  2. Review. I work through your workflows and tools. Read-only access to your systems is helpful for the review but is not required.
  3. Findings. The final written brief. Core is complete in about five business days; Expanded in about seven to eight business days; Complete in about ten business days.
  4. Walkthrough. Complete ONLY. It includes a live video demonstration call that is then recorded and sent to you. It also includes one written round of follow-up questions.

What I need from you

To begin, I will need a short description of your business workflow. This includes:

  • The tools it uses, including any that no one on the team uses anymore.
  • Your single biggest operational frustration, in your own words.
  • Optional: read-only access to the tools and systems your business uses to get work done.

Who are you hiring?

I am Tyler, founder of Jurelle Enterprises LLC, with nearly a decade of experience in project management and business operations.

For two years, I served as secretary for two land-use boards in a single New Jersey city. In this role, I met strict statutory deadlines, coordinated concurrent reviews by multiple parties, and tracked compliance with each resolution’s conditions through final approval. The process does not forgive incomplete submissions or skipped steps from anyone.

Before that, I helped onboard newly acquired lodging units for a startup hospitality company. This role involved taking each unit from acquisition through revenue readiness, a process that included:

  • Measuring newly acquired and empty lodging units to create floor plans
  • Coordinating furniture placement and conducting inventory checks to verify that all required items are present in a unit.
  • Staging items according to the prepared visual renderings for photography and designer review.
  • Final QA sign-off.

I have also built my company’s operating and privacy infrastructure, which currently includes two brands and two domains. I test most of what I recommend to businesses here within my own company first.

Finally, I hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from Montclair State University. I also hold certifications as a Land Use Board Secretary from Rutgers University Center for Government Services and as a Certified Asana Administrator, the project management software I primarily use for my business and client work.

What this is not

Jurelle Enterprises LLC provides administrative, operational, and systems consulting services. Services do not include legal, tax, financial, accounting, insurance, or regulatory advice, and nothing delivered should be relied on as such. Real estate–related work is strictly administrative and coordination-based and does not include any activity requiring a real estate license, including listing input, showings, negotiation, or client solicitation. Land use and board-related services are administrative support only and do not include legal representation, professional planning or engineering opinion, or appearance before any public body. Clients remain responsible for determining their own legal and regulatory obligations.

This service is limited to operational and systems analysis.

It is also not a personnel review. I assess workflow, not individual performance. It is not an IT security audit or a compliance certification. Finally, implementation is a separate service.

FAQ

Yes, but as a separate service. Most clients audit first, then hire me to build. You are free to take my written audit to another professional to refine and/or implement. You’re not obligated to proceed with me for next steps.

Core takes about a week after the intake is complete. Complete takes about two weeks.

Access to your systems is NOT required. However, read-only access helps make the review clearer and the final audit more effective. I can still prepare the audit using only an intake questionnaire and a conversation.

Then you may not need this service. Tell me what you want built, and I will scope it instead using my other services.

This service is often more beneficial for small teams than for larger ones because smaller teams tend to shoulder more responsibilities. They rely on implicit knowledge and mental processes, which work well until a team member is unavailable.

Usually not. Most audits identify overlapping tools and a lack of a formal process. Based on the findings, I might recommend software or services if I believe they could enhance your workflow. I will disclose any commissions I receive for recommended software or services. Ultimately, you are not required to follow my recommendations or purchase any suggested software or services.

Yes. You are free to take my written audit to another professional for refinement and/or implementation. The Complete build specification is written to be handed to anyone.
