Privacy Policy

1. Summary

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information jurelleenterprises.com (the “Site”) collects, why, who receives it, and the choices you have. The short version:

  • I collect what you choose to send me through the contact form or by email, the details needed to scope and deliver work you hire me for, and the technical data every website needs to run and stay secure.
  • I do not sell or rent your personal information, I do not run ads, and the Site sets no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
  • My analytics, Plausible, uses no cookies and does not store IP addresses.
  • When I work inside your business’s systems, I handle the information in them only as our written agreement allows.
  • You can ask me to show you, correct, or delete your information at any time.

2. Who I Am

The Site is owned and operated by Jurelle Enterprises LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company. Tyler Jurelle, its founder and sole member, runs the Site and the company’s operations and systems consulting work. In this policy, “I,” “me,” and “my” mean Jurelle Enterprises LLC, which is the controller of the personal information described here.

To reach me about privacy, email contact@jurelleenterprises.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.”

3. What This Policy Covers

This policy covers the Site, its contact form, and email you send me. It does not cover:

  • tylerjurelle.com, the site of the company’s creative and content brand. Its own Privacy Policy applies there.
  • Websites, apps, and tools I link to or recommend. Their own privacy policies apply.
  • Freelance marketplaces and professional networks, such as Contra or LinkedIn. Each platform’s policy applies to what you share there.

Information exchanged for paid work is also governed by the written agreement for that work. Section 8 explains how I handle personal information inside your business’s own systems.

4. Information I Collect

4.1 Information You Give Me

  • Contact form: your name and email address, and what you tell me about your business or project, the service you are interested in, and what you need. Anything else you include becomes part of your message. The same applies when you email me directly.
  • Engagements: when you hire me, the contact, business, and billing details you share, your answers to my intake questionnaire, notes from our calls, and the files, documents, and messages we exchange to do the work.
  • Access to your systems: if the work needs it, you invite me into your tools at the access level we agree on. Section 8 covers what I see there.

Please do not send me passwords, financial account numbers, government ID numbers, or health information through the form or by email.

4.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Server and security logs: my host and content delivery network record each request to the Site, including IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page, and the time. This is used to deliver pages, block attacks, and fix errors.
  • Form records: when you submit the contact form, the Site stores the date and may record your IP address and browser details with your entry, to prevent spam and abuse.
  • Bot checks: Cloudflare Turnstile checks form submissions, using signals such as your IP address and browser details, to confirm they come from a person. My host’s security system may also briefly check a browser that sends many requests at once.
  • Analytics: Plausible Analytics records the page viewed, the referring site, browser, operating system, device type, and country. It uses no cookies, does not store IP addresses, and counts unique visitors with an identifier that is deleted every 24 hours, so it cannot recognize you from one day to the next. Its data is stored in the European Union.

4.3 Information From Other Sources

  • Search engines: search engine tools, such as Google Search Console, give me totals on how the Site appears in search results. These reports do not identify you.
  • Referrals and introductions: when someone refers you to me or introduces us, I receive the contact details they share.
  • Platforms: if you contact or hire me through a freelance marketplace or professional network, I receive the details that platform shares with me, such as your name, business, and messages.
  • Business contacts: when I reach out to a business about working together, I may use business contact details that are publicly available or that someone shared with me through an introduction.

5. How I Use Your Information

  • To reply to you, recommend the right service, and scope the work. Legal basis: taking steps you asked for before an agreement, or my legitimate interest in answering inquiries.
  • To deliver the work you hire me for, invoice it, and support you afterward. Legal basis: performing our agreement.
  • To keep the Site secure and block spam, bots, and abuse. Legal basis: my legitimate interest in protecting the Site and its visitors.
  • To understand which pages are useful, using totals only. Legal basis: my legitimate interest in improving the Site.
  • To contact businesses about working together. Legal basis: my legitimate interest in growing my business. You can object at any time and I will stop.
  • To keep business records, meet legal obligations, and protect my rights. Legal basis: legal obligation and legitimate interest.

I do not make automated decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects, and I do not build advertising profiles.

6. Cookies and Browser Storage

The Site sets no advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking cookies. Cookies and browser storage are used only where a feature needs them:

  • Security checks: my host’s bot protection and Cloudflare Turnstile may store a short-lived cookie or token after checking your browser.
  • Site features: your browser may remember small choices, such as closing a popup, so it does not reappear right away.
  • Login: login cookies are set only for people who manage the Site.

If you follow a link to another company’s site, including a referral link for a tool I recommend, that company may set its own cookies under its own policy. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the Site will still work.

7. Service Providers

These providers help me run the Site and my business. They process personal information only to provide their service to me.

  • ChemiCloud (United States): web hosting, server logs, and backups. Privacy policy
  • QUIC.cloud (United States): content delivery network, DNS, and image optimization, which process IP addresses and request logs. Privacy policy
  • Cloudflare Turnstile (United States): bot protection on the contact form. Privacy policy
  • Plausible Analytics (European Union): cookieless website analytics. Data policy
  • Proton (Switzerland): my business email, including notifications sent from the Site, and encrypted storage for business and client files. Privacy policy
  • Fluent Forms: runs on the Site’s own server, so form entries stay in the Site’s database and are not sent to the plugin maker.
  • Business tools: when we work together, your contact details and project information are also kept in the project management, scheduling, video call, banking, invoicing, and accounting services I use to run the work and get paid. Each receives only what it needs for its purpose.

8. Client Engagements

When you hire me, I often work inside your business’s own systems, such as your project management tool, shared drives, email, or calendars. The personal information in them, about your team, clients, or customers, belongs to your business, and I handle it on your behalf:

  • I use it only to do the work in our agreement, and only on your instructions.
  • I ask for the least access that lets me do the work, and I work inside your systems rather than downloading files wherever possible.
  • I never accept passwords by email or chat. You create and keep your own credentials.
  • My access is removed on the handoff date, or on the last day of a retainer, and I log when it was granted and when it was removed.
  • Confidentiality, the return or deletion of files, and anything else your own obligations require are set out in our agreement. If your business needs a data processing or confidentiality agreement, tell me before the work starts.

Your own privacy notice covers the people whose information is in your systems. If one of them contacts me with a request about that information, I will refer it to you.

9. How I Share Information

I do not sell, rent, or trade personal information, and I do not share it for targeted advertising. I share it only:

  • with the service providers in section 7, to run the Site and my business;
  • with professionals who advise the company, such as an accountant or lawyer, who must keep it confidential;
  • when the law requires it, such as a valid subpoena or court order;
  • to protect the safety, rights, or property of the company, Tyler Jurelle, the Site’s visitors, or others, including to stop fraud or abuse;
  • with a buyer or successor if the company or the Site is sold, merged, or restructured, who must protect it as this policy describes;
  • with your permission, such as when you ask me to coordinate with your vendors or contractors.

10. International Transfers

I am based in the United States, and my providers operate in the United States, Switzerland, and the European Union. If you contact me from another country, your information is transferred to those countries. Where the GDPR or UK data protection law applies and my providers offer them, transfers rely on an adequacy decision (such as Switzerland’s, or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework for certified providers) or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

11. How Long I Keep Information

  • Messages and inquiries: until the conversation is finished. Unless it leads to an engagement, I aim to delete it within about 90 days of our last exchange.
  • Engagement and business records: agreements, invoices, deliverables, and the correspondence about them, as long as needed for the work, taxes, accounting, and legal claims, generally up to seven years.
  • Client files: files I hold for an engagement are kept in encrypted storage for as long as our agreement allows and I need them as business records. Ask, and I will return or delete anything I am not required to keep.
  • Logs: my host and content delivery network keep server and security logs for a limited time and delete them on their own schedules.
  • Backups: copies of the Site’s database are kept for a limited time. Deleted information drops out as older backups are replaced.
  • Analytics: totals only, which contain no personal information.

12. How I Protect Information

  • Every page and form on the Site is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).
  • My business email and files are stored with Proton’s zero-access and end-to-end encryption.
  • Access to the Site’s admin area and the accounts that hold your information is limited to me and the providers that support them.
  • Access to client systems is kept to the least level the work needs and removed when the work ends (see section 8).
  • The contact form is protected against bots and spam.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a breach affects your personal information, I will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.

13. Your Rights and Choices

13.1 For Everyone

Wherever you live, you can ask me to:

  • tell you what personal information I hold about you and send you a copy;
  • correct it;
  • delete it, unless I must keep it for legal or business-record reasons, in which case I will tell you what I kept and why;
  • stop using it for a purpose you object to, such as business outreach.

13.2 European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland

You also have the right to receive your information in a portable format, to restrict how I use it, to object to processing based on my legitimate interests, and to withdraw your consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. You can complain to your local data protection authority, though I would appreciate the chance to address your concern first.

13.3 United States

Residents of New Jersey, California, and other states with consumer privacy laws have the rights in section 13.1. I do not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use sensitive personal information to infer things about you, so there is nothing to opt out of. For the same reason, Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals do not change anything on the Site. If that ever changes, I will honor those signals. I will never treat you differently for exercising your rights.

13.4 How to Make a Request

Email contact@jurelleenterprises.com with the subject line “Privacy Request,” ideally from the email address you used with me, and tell me what you would like. You can also use the contact form: choose “Something else” and start your message with “Privacy Request.” I may ask for information to confirm your identity, and someone acting for you must show your written permission. I will respond within 30 days, or within the longer period your local law allows, and requests are free unless they are clearly unfounded or excessive. If I decline a request, I will explain why, and you can appeal by replying with “Appeal” in the subject line.

14. Children

The Site is intended for businesses and adults and is not directed to children. You must be at least 18 to submit the contact form. If I learn that I have collected personal information from anyone under 18, I will delete it. Parents and guardians can contact me at any time.

15. Changes to This Policy

I will post any changes on this page and update the “Updated On” date at the top. If a change materially affects how I use information I already hold, I will post a notice on the Site, and tell current clients by email, before it takes effect.
